US vetoes UN resolution calling for ‘immediate’ & ‘unconditional’ Gaza ceasefire
The United States has once again vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and full humanitarian access in Gaza, even as the rest of the Council backed the move. Washington said the resolution would disrupt ongoing diplomatic efforts and criticised it for equating Israel with Hamas.
