‘CEO monk’ removed from China’s Shaolin Temple over ‘extremely’ bad behaviour

Abbot Shi Yongxin, the head of China’s Shaolin Temple, is being removed after almost quarter of a century in the role after having committed acts of “extremely bad nature”, China’s top Buddhist authority said. The monk is currently under investigation for embezzling funds and for fathering several children with different women.
