Macron urges adoption of UN plastics treaty to address ‘public health emergency’

French President Emmanuel Macron called on countries negotiating a UN treaty against plastic pollution in Geneva on Thursday to redouble their efforts, saying it was “our chance to turn the tide” against a “public health emergency”.
