Historian blames post-war ‘chaos’ for Harvard Magna Carta ‘copy’ confusion
Harvard Law Library bought a version of the royal charter at auction for just $27.50 in 1946, the equivalent of round $450 (£328) today – which was last month discovered to be the real deal.
