Indonesia to finally lift iPhone 16 ban after 5 months, despite no formal manufacturing plan from Apple

According to reports, Indonesia’s Ministry for Industry is set to grant Apple the necessary permits to sell the iPhone 16 series, thus lifting the ban, once Apple signs an MoU with Indonesia regarding its $1 billion dollar investments

For Apple, this agreement means the iPhone 16 can finally be sold in Indonesia without significant changes to its production strategy. Meanwhile, for Indonesia, the deal secures substantial investment, even if it doesn’t bring iPhone manufacturing to the country just yet. Image Credit: Firstpost | Mehul Reuben Das
