Who is Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa, the former rebel leader once linked with al Qaeda?
Once an extremist who fought US troops in Iraq, Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa now preaches pluralism and tolerance. After leading the overthrow of Bashar al Assad's regime, he leads a country trying to get back on its feet.
